non-profit fundraisers

Tired of the same cookie-dough-and-wrapping-paper routine? Something Made partners with Bay Area PTAs, school foundations, nonprofits, and community organizations to host craft night fundraisers that people really look forward to. You sell the tickets, keep the revenue, and we handle everything else—supplies, instruction, setup, and cleanup.

You sell the tickets, we do the rest.

You sell the tickets, we do the rest. *

Here's the full picture: you pick a date, we agree on a craft, and you sell tickets to your community at whatever price works for your fundraising goal.

On the night of the event, Something Made arrives early, sets up every station, leads your guests through a guided craft workshop, and cleans up completely before we leave.

Your guests walk away with something they made with their hands, and Your organization walks away with real money.

Every event features one guided craft—we rotate our menu regularly so repeat events always feel fresh. Popular fundraiser options include:

What your community will make

Block print of Golden Gate bridge with red ink

BLOCK PRINTING

Participants create their own rubber stamp that can be used for making prints, cards, or even tote bags! (Totes incur an additional materials fee)

EMBROIDERED TOTE BAGS

We use hot glue to make a puffy design on the tote bag, then participants embroider around the dried glue, which creates a 3-D look.

WOOD BURNED CUTTING BOARDS

Everyone uses a handheld wood-burning tool to burn a design into their own cutting board. Very beginner friendly!

PAINTED PLATES

Participants paint a plate with a design of their choice. They need to bake it in the oven at least 24 hours later, but once baked, the paint is food safe!

PAPER COLLAGE ART

We bring tons of different papers (some pre-cut into shapes) and people go wild making a thoughtful collage.

Not sure what's right for your group? we'll help you pick.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes—your organization arranges the space. We come to you: a school multipurpose room, a church hall, a community center, a partner restaurant or bar. We need tables, basic lighting, and 30 minutes to set up. If you need help thinking through venue options we're glad to brainstorm with you!

  • We recommend 4–6 weeks out. Some crafts require advance preparation, and you'll want time to promote ticket sales to your community.

  • Absolutely! We'll walk you through the options and help you pick something that fits your audience and your vibe.

  • Our flat fee is based on your reserved capacity tier, not actual attendance. We recommend promoting aggressively—our events sell well when communities spread the word. We're happy to provide social media graphics and suggested copy to help you promote!

  • We don't provide or sell alcohol. If your venue serves or permits BYOB, that's between you and your venue.
